Sanwa Enterprise Co., Ltd., which handles fluid piping fittings, has developed a tube fitting called "Antlock" that balances heat resistance, chemical resistance, lightweight, durability, and low cost. Sales will begin on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Antlock is the industry's first tube fitting made from carbon PEEK resin. By utilizing the inherent heat resistance, chemical resistance, and lightweight properties of PEEK, and incorporating carbon, it achieves enhanced strength and significant cost reduction suitable for mass production. It can be used not only for coolant piping that requires heat resistance and durability but also for liquid transport lines handling corrosive fluids such as sodium hypochlorite. It is ideal for applications that previously used metal fittings like stainless steel, providing weight reduction and rust prevention, as well as cost reduction in areas that used fluoropolymer fittings. The compatible tube sizes are 8×6mm, 6×4mm, and 4×2mm, with a planned sales price of 650 yen for all three types. A sample set containing all types will be distributed to interested users.
