However, CNTs have a tendency to aggregate, making it difficult to uniformly disperse them in resins or liquids. Achieving a stable and uniform dispersion is a challenge to fully realize their original performance. Our company has been developing CNT dispersants based on research results from universities and companies, utilizing our unique polysaccharide extraction technology. Hoshi and Electric Co., Ltd. has been supplying lighting fixtures for numerous roads and tunnels since 1957, when it delivered lighting fixtures for the Kanmon Tunnel, the world's first underwater tunnel at that time. In 2010, it supplied Japan's first LED tunnel lighting fixtures for the Enoura Tunnel, which is under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, continuously leading tunnel lighting in Japan. The newly developed tunnel LED lighting system, the first of its kind in Japan, features a power supply unit installed inside the electrical room, providing direct current to the lighting fixtures in the tunnel. This innovation allows for the miniaturization and lightweight design of the fixtures. While conventional products had the power supply unit within the fixture itself, this new product does not, enabling a reduction in size and significantly easing installation work. Additionally, by consolidating the power supply unit in the electrical room instead of within the fixture, maintenance has been simplified. Recently, we have supplied the tunnel LED lighting system for the Kyuuzan Tunnel (downhill L=1,704m) on National Route 185, under the jurisdiction of the Hiroshima National Route Office of the Chugoku Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

Hoshi and Electric Co., Ltd. has been supplying lighting fixtures for numerous roads and tunnels since 1957, when it provided lighting for the Kanmon Tunnel, the world's first underwater tunnel at that time. In 2010, it supplied Japan's first LED tunnel lighting fixtures for the Enoura Tunnel, which is the first LED tunnel lighting for national highways directly managed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, continuously leading tunnel lighting in Japan. The newly developed tunnel LED lighting system, the first of its kind in Japan, achieves miniaturization and weight reduction by installing the power supply unit inside the electrical room and supplying power to the lighting fixtures in the tunnel with direct current. While conventional products had the power supply unit within the fixture itself, this product allows for miniaturization since the power supply unit is not inside the fixture, significantly reducing installation work. Additionally, by consolidating the power supply unit in the electrical room rather than inside the fixture, maintenance has been simplified. The direct current-powered tunnel LED lighting adopts both the technology registered in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's New Technology Information System (NETIS) (CG-170008) and the technology for compact and lightweight LED tunnel lighting fixtures (TH-150008).

Road lighting fixtures are mounted on poles, but these poles tend to accumulate moisture, leading to condensation and water droplets. Our company offers a product that protects electrical wiring from moisture and water droplets, the pole-mounted junction box (SB series), which has a proven track record of over 40 years. We are now launching a new addition to our lineup, the "Junction Box with Internal Wiring for Poles" (SBJA series), which makes internal wiring for road lighting fixtures safe and easy. The "Junction Box with Internal Wiring for Poles" (SBJA series) has a protection rating equivalent to IP68 for waterproofing and dustproofing, making it ideal for the moist environment inside poles. It comes with wiring for safe and easy connections, and inspections are straightforward. News Release Seiwa Electric Co., Ltd. has enhanced its lineup of LED lighting fixtures (Star Reds series) to meet diverse needs in response to the introduction of energy-saving equipment in each factory and initiatives for the environment (Minamata Convention). We are pleased to announce the addition of the "LZBA series," explosion-proof LED lighting fixtures that can be used in explosive hazardous areas ZONE 1 and ZONE 2, equivalent to fluorescent lamps (FHF32W high-output type for 1 lamp, for 2 lamps, and FHF16W high-output type for 1 lamp) to our lineup, with orders starting from March 23, 2016. We have completely reviewed the LED module and housing from the conventional design, achieving a lightweight and compact form (our conventional explosion-proof fluorescent fixture: FHF32W high-output type for 2 lamps weighs 15.0 kg, reduced to 11.0 kg, approximately 27% lighter; FHF32W high-output type for 1 lamp weighs 12.0 kg, reduced to 9.5 kg, approximately 21% lighter). We are pleased to announce the addition of the "LZLA series," an explosion-proof LED lighting fixture that can be used in explosive hazardous areas Zone 1 and Zone 2, equivalent to incandescent lamps (100W, 200W) and high-output FHF32W (circular and compact fluorescent lamps). Orders will begin on May 15. The fixture body utilizes aluminum die-casting, which excels in heat dissipation and lightweight design, allowing for effective heat management and increasing the operating temperature range to -20°C to +50°C (compared to our conventional LED products which are -20°C to +40°C). This also achieves a maintenance-free LED module lifespan of 60,000 hours, while ensuring high durability and weather resistance.
