Shinwa Controls is building a new factory in Omura City, Nagasaki Prefecture, a smart factory that achieves double productivity through DX and BPR.
Shinwa Controls will begin construction of a new factory planned in Omura City, Nagasaki Prefecture, in June 2025. This expansion aims to enhance production capacity in preparation for the growing demand in the semiconductor and FPD industries, allowing us to establish a production system that can quickly deliver reliable products. Prior to the opening of the new factory, we have initiated a project titled "High Productivity Factory Project," focusing on the digital transformation of production processes and business process reengineering activities. By implementing the results of this project, the new factory will operate as a smart factory with double the current production capacity.

We received the Excellence Award at the 13th Smart Lifestyle Awards.
Shinwa Controls Co., Ltd. received an Excellence Award for its initiative "Meat Free Friday in the Employee Cafeteria" at the "13th Smart Lifestyle Awards" organized by Kawasaki City and the CC Kawasaki Eco Conference. The "Smart Lifestyle Awards" is a system that recognizes outstanding initiatives by citizens and businesses that contribute to CO₂ reduction and global warming countermeasures, in collaboration with Kawasaki City and the CC Kawasaki Eco Conference. In our employee cafeteria, we support the globally promoted "Meat Free Monday" by offering meals that do not use any animal products every Friday, called "Meat Free Friday." Considering the background of the significant loss of nature due to raising livestock for food, we are engaged in environmental conservation activities that can be achieved by avoiding meat consumption.

We will be exhibiting at the 10th Healthcare and Medical Device Development Exhibition [Tokyo] - MEDIX - from October 23 to 25, 2019.
Shinwa Controls Co., Ltd. will be exhibiting at the 10th Healthcare and Medical Device Development Exhibition [Tokyo] - MEDIX - held at Makuhari Messe. At our booth, we will showcase the solenoid valve "CPV," which not only has strong corrosion resistance but is also compact and highly durable, making it suitable for various devices. Additionally, we will introduce specific adoption cases and corrosion performance of solenoid valves that have a proven track record in the medical industry. We will also display fluid control devices such as diaphragm pumps as part of our partner companies' exhibits. Alongside our solenoid valves, we are planning to showcase a simple demo unit to help visualize actual operation. We sincerely look forward to your visit.

The electromagnetic valve of Shinwa Controls has successfully returned to the surface (sequel).
The "HTV-mounted small recovery capsule (HTV-R: H-II Transfer Vehicle-Return)" equipped with Shinwa Controls' straight-type direct-acting solenoid valve (trademark name: Propellen) successfully returned to the Earth's surface on November 11 (Sunday), after which an evaluation was conducted by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). On November 27, 2018 (Tuesday), a press release was held at JAXA's Tsukuba Space Center, showcasing the capsule body and other components of the technology demonstration for the small recovery capsule mounted on the HTV, which was retrieved from off the coast of Minami-Torishima. During the Q&A session of the press release, the success of the project was reported. Furthermore, we received feedback from JAXA stating that our solenoid valve (trademark name: Propellen) "operated without any issues." We feel that our technology and products have achieved significant results in aerospace projects.

Shinwa Controls' solenoid valve has successfully returned to the surface.
It has been announced by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) that the "HTV-mounted small recovery capsule (HTV-R: H-II Transfer Vehicle-Return)" equipped with Shinwa Controls' straight-type direct-acting solenoid valves (trademark name: Propellen) has successfully returned to the Earth's surface. The HTV-mounted small recovery capsule was designed to store samples generated from space experiments conducted on the ISS (International Space Station) and bring them back to Earth. Our solenoid valves (trademark name: Propellen) are installed in a total of nine units in this small recovery capsule, eight of which control the capsule's attitude during atmospheric re-entry by injecting nitrogen gas, while the remaining one is responsible for opening the parachute to ensure the capsule reaches the surface after breaking through the atmosphere. Our solenoid valves contributed to the success of the project involving the return of the small recovery capsule. Shinwa Controls will continue to strive to become a "supporter of space development" beyond this achievement.

Adopted for the small recovery capsule mounted on the "Kounotori" cargo spacecraft for the space station.
The straight-type direct-acting solenoid valve developed by Shinwa Controls will be installed in the small recovery capsule mounted on the HTV, which is being developed as a means of transporting supplies to the International Space Station (ISS) by JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency). Previous supply vehicles (HTV) were designed to burn up upon re-entering the atmosphere, but the HTV currently under development will store samples generated from experiments on the ISS in the small recovery capsule and bring them back to Earth. Our solenoid valves will be installed a total of nine in this small recovery capsule, with eight of them used as injection valves to control the capsule's attitude after it re-enters the atmosphere, and one used to operate the deceleration parachute.

Developed a high-performance three-way control valve! Achieving high-precision proportional flow control over a wide temperature range.
Shinwa Controls Co., Ltd. has successfully developed a three-way control valve capable of high-precision proportional flow control and will release it worldwide. Conventional three-way control valves required performance such as "quick mixing" and "rapidly achieving the appropriate temperature," but by improving the internal structure, we have realized this high-precision technology. In addition to precise temperature control, it now enables multi-stage precise temperature control, making it usable in a wide range of fields, from households to food, medical, and semiconductor industries.

About the achievements of young people supported by our company at the international robotics competition.
The team BWW, which we support and is composed of middle and high school students, participated in the 'FLL North American Open Championship' held in San Diego, California from May 17 to 19, and achieved an impressive first place in the robotics competition! They scored 344 points out of a possible 400, securing first place with an 86-point lead over the second place team. I would like to commend BWW for their outstanding performance. I am confident that they will continue to grow as leaders in solving global challenges in the future.
