Precipitation-hardened stainless steel "Silicoroy XVI"
High hardening is possible with low-temperature heat treatment at 460℃! It also contributes to the simplification of the processing process.
"Silicoroy XVI" is a precipitation-hardened stainless steel that excels in the balance of high hardness and high corrosion resistance. In addition to a high-silicon, ultra-low carbon composition, it employs a new mechanism to precipitate hard intermetallic compounds, making it a new material distinct from hardened steel types. It possesses high hardness equivalent to 56-58 HRC and corrosion resistance comparable to SUS304. Additionally, we offer "Silicoroy metal powder," suitable for powder bed fusion (metal 3D printing) and thermal spraying. [Features] ■ High functionality with high hardness and high corrosion resistance → Precipitation of hard intermetallic compounds from ultra-low carbon, silicon-based materials ■ Low dimensional changes during heat treatment → High hardness achieved through low-temperature aging heat treatment ■ Suppression of aging changes due to ultra-low residual austenite → Ultra-low carbon content of 0.02% ■ Flexibility in heat treatment design → Easy fine-tuning of hardness *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
basic information
【Other Features】 <Silicon Alloy Metal Powder> ■ High-grade spherical powder with low oxygen and high purity produced by inert gas atomization (vacuum melting) ■ Particularly effective in cases where there are challenges with the hardness of SUS630 and the corrosion resistance of maraging steel ■ Examples of Applications Powder bed fusion (metal 3D printing), MIM (metal injection molding), PTA (powder plasma cladding welding), flame spraying, laser cladding, etc. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
