This optics explanation seminar features Professor Toyohiko Tanigakai, a former director of the Optics Education and Research Center at Utsunomiya University, who is well-versed in applied optics. He will provide a clear explanation of the content of his renowned book "Optics." The "Optics" theory seminar consists of a total of 10 sessions, covering various concepts and theories of optics in a comprehensive and systematic manner, characterized by mathematical clarity and an awareness of applications in optical technology.

2024 and 2025 Fiscal Year "Learning the Basics of Optical Design" Seminar
This seminar is aimed at anyone involved in the optics industry (researchers, candidates (students), personnel from corporate research and development departments, etc.). We are pleased to invite Dr. Genta Ushiyama, President of Taiko Co., Ltd. and Chair of the Optical Design Technical Committee of the Japan Optomechatronics Association, who is well-versed in the laser industry, to provide an explanation on "Learning the Basics of Optical Design." This initiative follows the theoretical seminar based on the book "Optics" by Professor Emeritus Tanigai and will be a practical seminar on optical design. The seminar is scheduled to be held monthly for a total of 12 sessions. Those who register for even one session of this seminar will have access to view all 10 sessions of Professor Tanigai's "Optics" on-demand seminar for one week. Biography: Graduated from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Tokyo University of Science in 1981, and established Taiko Co., Ltd. in 1991. His main business activities include optical system design, development, manufacturing, consulting, education, and software development. He has served as a part-time lecturer in lens design at the Department of Optical and Image Engineering, Tokai University (2006-2010), and continues to this day. Main publications: Simulation Optics, Fundamentals of Wave Optics Engineering for Diverse Optical System Design, Basic Knowledge of Optical Design, Basic Knowledge of Optical Design for Lighting and Projection Systems.

Reiwa Year 7 Laser Safety Education Seminar Regularly held every Monday at 14:30.
This seminar is held regularly and has been attended by over 450 participants to date. The seminar is available on demand and can be viewed anytime, 24 hours a day. Lecture Content: We provide lectures on laser safety that cover the Labor Safety and Health Act and JIS C6802. Video Explanation: We have eliminated static image explanations and use easy-to-understand animated videos, which have received high praise from participants. Format: Utilizing our specialized subscription video learning service "OptiVideo," it is available for use at any time during the event period. Considerations for Laser Classes: The seminar is based on Laser Class 4, with additional videos for Laser Classes 1 to 3, explaining points of caution for each class. (New!) Explanation of Accident Cases: In response to participant requests, we have added videos focusing on the causes and countermeasures of laser accident cases.
