Isothermal frequency sweep Measuring the viscoelasticity dependent on the frequency of materials is an excellent method for understanding their molecular structure. As shown in the figure, frequency sweeps reveal information about molecular weight (crossover frequency) and molecular weight distribution (crossover elastic modulus).

Strain sweep during filler addition Strain dependence is particularly important as an indicator of the quantity and type of dispersion and interaction of rubber fillers. In this example, the effects of five different levels of carbon black addition are observed in the low strain region. High strain behavior generally does not respond to filler addition, as it is less responsive to filler-filler interactions, further dependence on polymer molecular weight, and polymer-filler interactions.
