Isothermal Titration Calorimeter (Affinity ITC)
Provides high reliability! An excellent tool for measuring a wide range of molecular interactions.
The Isothermal Titration Calorimeter (ITC) is a device that detects the heat changes associated with titration at a constant temperature and is primarily used for analyzing molecular interactions. It measures the minute heat changes that occur when molecules bind to each other, allowing for the determination of binding ratio (n), binding constant (Ka), and the enthalpy change of binding (ΔH) from the resulting titration curve. Affinity ITC is an isothermal titration calorimeter that provides high sensitivity, high reproducibility, and advanced ITC technology in life science research environments. With AccuShot technology, it delivers precise amounts of titrant to the appropriate location, and the FlexSpin stirring function achieves efficient mixing and high sensitivity. The automatic cleaning function prevents contamination between samples. It offers the option of standard capacity (1.0 mL) or low capacity cells (190 µL), and a temperature-controlled auto-sampler for 96 wells is also available.

April Online LIVE Seminar! ~Protein Analysis Seminar~
13:00~14:00 Examples of ITC Utilization - Useful Information Beyond Binding Strength - Masayuki Oda, Kyoto Prefectural University The Isothermal Titration Calorimeter (ITC) is a device that detects changes in heat associated with titration at a constant temperature, primarily used for analyzing molecular interactions. It provides information not only about binding strengths such as Ka and Kd of biomacromolecules like proteins, but also about binding ratios and thermodynamic quantities (ΔH, ΔS, etc.). This presentation will introduce how these pieces of information can be useful and applied, based on specific examples. 14:00~14:30 Introduction to Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) for Biomacromolecules Minako Maeda, TA Instruments Application Department

July Online LIVE Seminar! ~Protein Analysis Seminar~
13:00~14:00 Analysis of the interaction between sleep substance-synthesizing enzyme and ligand using isothermal titration calorimetry Shigeru Shimamoto, Lecturer, Department of Life Science, College of Science and Engineering, Kinki University Isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) has the significant advantage of detecting molecular interactions in a form that is closer to the state present in vivo, without the need for chemical modifications, immobilization, or detection probes. Furthermore, it is a method that provides nearly complete thermodynamic parameters related to the interactions. Here, I will introduce the analysis of the interaction between lipocalin-type prostaglandin D synthase (L-PGDS), which acts as a sleep substance-synthesizing enzyme in the mammalian brain, and its ligand, prostaglandin (PG), using ITC, and discuss the elucidation of the enzyme reaction mechanism in conjunction with structural information. 14:00~14:30 Introduction to isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) for biomacromolecules Minako Maeda, Applications Department, TA Instruments
