Youtube Lecture Materials ~DSC Basic Edition 1~
This is the lecture material posted on YouTube ~DSC Basic Edition 1~. It is available for free download, so please feel free to make use of it.
Data Content This is a PDF version of the lecture materials from YouTube, converted for easier viewing. The video consists of a total of 12 pages and provides an easy-to-understand explanation for beginners about: - Principles - Analytical methods - Enthalpy relaxation (recovery) I think it might be difficult to understand with just the lecture materials, so please also refer to the YouTube videos below. basic information
We would like to introduce a YouTube course on DSC from TA Instruments, the world leader in thermal analysis. What can you learn from DSC? How should you analyze the graphs? The graphs are different between the first and second measurements... why is that? We are offering a groundbreaking tool to solve these questions for free. Lecture materials are also available for free on the Ipros site, so please make use of them.

April Online LIVE Seminar! ~Protein Analysis Seminar~
13:00~14:00 Examples of ITC Utilization - Useful Information Beyond Binding Strength - Masayuki Oda, Kyoto Prefectural University The Isothermal Titration Calorimeter (ITC) is a device that detects changes in heat associated with titration at a constant temperature, primarily used for analyzing molecular interactions. It provides information not only about binding strengths such as Ka and Kd of biomacromolecules like proteins, but also about binding ratios and thermodynamic quantities (ΔH, ΔS, etc.). This presentation will introduce how these pieces of information can be useful and applied, based on specific examples. 14:00~14:30 Introduction to Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) for Biomacromolecules Minako Maeda, TA Instruments Application Department

July Online LIVE Seminar! ~Protein Analysis Seminar~
13:00~14:00 Analysis of the interaction between sleep substance-synthesizing enzyme and ligand using isothermal titration calorimetry Shigeru Shimamoto, Lecturer, Department of Life Science, College of Science and Engineering, Kinki University Isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) has the significant advantage of detecting molecular interactions in a form that is closer to the state present in vivo, without the need for chemical modifications, immobilization, or detection probes. Furthermore, it is a method that provides nearly complete thermodynamic parameters related to the interactions. Here, I will introduce the analysis of the interaction between lipocalin-type prostaglandin D synthase (L-PGDS), which acts as a sleep substance-synthesizing enzyme in the mammalian brain, and its ligand, prostaglandin (PG), using ITC, and discuss the elucidation of the enzyme reaction mechanism in conjunction with structural information. 14:00~14:30 Introduction to isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) for biomacromolecules Minako Maeda, Applications Department, TA Instruments
