basic information
At TA Instruments, we handle a wide range of equipment including "thermal analysis instruments," "viscoelastic measurement devices and rheometers," "microcalorimeters (for biological and medical fields)," and "fatigue testing machines." This time, we will introduce three types of devices known as "microcalorimeters," which are highly suitable for evaluation in the fields of biology, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals. ◆ Isothermal Titration Calorimeter (ITC) The isothermal titration calorimeter (ITC) is a device that detects the heat changes associated with titration at a constant temperature, primarily used for analyzing molecular interactions. It measures the minute heat changes that occur when molecules bind to each other, allowing for the determination of binding ratios (n), binding constants (Ka), and changes in enthalpy of binding (ΔH) from the resulting titration curves. ◆ Isothermal Calorimeter (TAM) The thermal analysis measurement device (TAM) is a highly sensitive, stable, and flexible microcalorimeter system that can directly measure universal thermal signals, enabling quantitative thermodynamic and kinetic observations of any process. ◆ Biological Microcalorimeter (NanoDSC) The biological microcalorimeter (nano DSC) is the most widely used thermal analysis instrument for evaluating the physical properties of a broad range of materials, including polymers, pharmaceuticals, food, biological substances, organic compounds, inorganic compounds, and composite materials.
