Announcement of a special exhibition from the Takaya Group's Karyō Otsuka Museum of Art: "Yamabe Yasushi Exhibition: Flowers and Gold - Two Different Times - Yamabe Yasushi Evanescence and Eternity - Flower/Gold."

TAKAYA Corporation
The exhibition of Taiji Yamabe at the Kairaku Otsuka Museum focuses on the captivating motifs and materials of "nature" and "shine" in art. It will showcase the "Flower" series from the late 1980s, which served as the starting point for Yamabe's work, as well as the "GOLD PAINTING" series from the early 2000s. Both series garnered significant attention in the art scene at the time and continue to exude fresh energy. The "flower," as a symbol of the moment, intersects with "GOLD," a symbol of eternity, creating a blend of the ordinary and the extraordinary. The visual and sensory experiences that intersect in these two different times quietly present the imagery of the works and deepen our understanding of the existence and perception of objects. This summer, I hope to share a rich time of appreciation of Yamabe's works with many people. Exhibition Period: July 15, 2023 (Saturday) – September 10, 2023 (Sunday) Opening Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Admission until 4:30 PM) Closed: Mondays (the following day if a holiday) Admission Fee: General 800 (700) yen, High School Students 500 (400) yen, Elementary and Junior High School Students 300 (250) yen *The prices in parentheses are group discount rates for 20 or more people.
