Heat-curable resin for CFRP CBZ
We contribute overall to the lightweight and cost reduction of CFRP components with excellent "productivity" and "CFRP material properties."
On October 1, 2024, Nippon Finechem Co., Ltd. and Nippon Yupika Co., Ltd. merged to start a new company called Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Next Co., Ltd. The "CBZ Series" is a thermosetting resin that excels in adhesion to various fibers, including carbon fibers, and enables the production of FRP with excellent mechanical properties. It can be applied to various molding methods, similar to conventional unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins. The "Liquid CBZ," which can cure at room temperature to high temperatures, is currently used in various applications. Additionally, we are developing an intermediate material called "CBZ Prepreg" that leverages the characteristics of Liquid CBZ. 【Features】 ■ High adhesion to carbon fibers sized for epoxy resins ■ High adhesion to glass, aramid, and basalt fibers ■ Provision of CFRP with excellent bending, compression, and interlaminar shear strength ■ Fast curing due to radical polymerization ■ Low water absorption ■ Resistance to moisture, oil, and gasoline *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
