Rapid analysis of complex and heterogeneous mixtures in cosmetics.

This technology brief introduces a direct analysis method for heterogeneous samples using an atmospheric pressure solid analysis probe (ASAP) in the sample inlet of mass spectrometry, eliminating the need for sample preparation. ASAP allows for the acquisition of mass spectra of mixtures within seconds without sample pretreatment, streamlining the workflow for monitoring target compounds in mixtures.
