REIMS research system equipped with iKnife sampling function
Just by touching with an electric scalpel, differences within and between samples can be measured instantly in just a few seconds.
Rapid Evaporative Ionization Mass Spectrometry (REIMS) is a novel sampling method that allows for the direct acquisition of molecular profiles from the surface of samples. Researchers involved in cutting-edge studies in areas such as food, microbiology, and histology can quickly and easily discern differences between samples and reliably identify the components responsible for those differences through deep insights into chemical or biological systems.
basic information
The iKnife sampling feature-equipped REIMS research system combines a high-performance time-of-flight (Tof) mass spectrometer with powerful and intuitive software and direct ionization, enabling rapid and easy molecular profiling without the need for sample preparation. This innovative iKnife is a handheld sampling device that directly generates vapor rich in information from the surface of the sample. This vapor is analyzed by the time-of-flight mass spectrometer, providing accurate molecular profiling in just a few seconds. ■ No need for sample preparation or chromatography separation ■ Rapid measurement of differences within and between samples ■ Identification of molecular markers that cause differences between samples ■ Option to select high-performance Tof-MS systems ■ Can be combined with sampling methods such as UPLC/MS
