Smart LIMS - NuGenesis LMS
A next-generation LIMS that adds important features not found in conventional LIMS.
The smart LIMS proposed by Waters is a next-generation LIMS that adds important features not found in traditional LIMS, such as raw data management, reagent and equipment management, and the utilization of existing resources. 1. Management of Raw Data It integrates and centrally manages analytical instrument data in various formats and electronic documents. It is also possible to automatically retrieve raw data files from analytical instruments. 2. Reagent Management and Equipment Management Reagent Management - Manages information such as reagent name, lot number, potency, expiration date, manufacturer, usage logs, and links to records that used the reagent. - Supports the issuance of barcode labels. Equipment Management Manages information such as equipment name, manufacturer, serial number, expiration date, calibration date, and regular inspection date, as well as usage logs and links to records that used the equipment. 3. Utilization of Existing Resources - Allows the creation of laboratory notebooks, templating, and data storage using office applications. For example, it can directly import records created in Excel (or through drag & drop). - Existing files can be templated as parts of records, reducing the development time for templates.
