Introduction to Model Link Manager: "ISO26262 Business Support Tool"
The Model Link Manager (MLM) is a plugin module for RWB that standardizes procedures for evaluation in accordance with ISO26262 Part 5 and supports the assessment of analysis results. It has a powerful feature that automatically generates a Fault Tree equivalent to the created FMEDA. As part of the "ISO26262 Business Support Package," which includes the Reliability Workbench Fault Tree+ module, it allows for integrated evaluation using the same tools as upstream design, such as ISO26262 Part 4. The Piston Cooling template has been added to SimericsMP+!
A Piston Cooling template for two-phase flow piston cooling simulation using oil injection has been added. It is now possible to model multiple pistons with a single piston cooling module. Additionally, conjugate heat transfer simulations can be performed without using Python scripts.

A Fuel Tank template has been added to simulate two-phase flow in the fuel tank of a vehicle.

A Vehicle template has been added for performing simulations of automotive exterior, under-hood airflow, and thermal damage analysis. Additionally, a new mesh type has been introduced, allowing selected solid components or internal fluid components to be retained within the template. Furthermore, "Drag development" has been added to the output of drag calculations.

We have published a new user case for Simerics' 'PumpLinx', a product handled by our company. You can download the case from the following URL: https://www.ipros.jp/catalog/detail/467444 Kyushu Institute of Technology originated from the private Meiji Technical School established in 1907 and became a national university in 1949. It is the only national university with a Department of Information Engineering and is located in the Kitakyushu industrial area, the largest industrial zone in Kyushu, which is also famous for conducting tests with the Hayabusa (MUSES-C) spacecraft that reached asteroid Itokawa. Last autumn, we received an inquiry from Professor Emeritus Kazuhiro Tanaka of Kyushu Institute of Technology. Subsequently, Professor Shimizu and his students from the Kyo-Shimizu Laboratory conducted an evaluation trial, recognizing the advantages of our software compared to other CFD software they had been using, leading to its adoption. We spoke with Professor Shimizu, and master's students Hirose and Watanabe from the Kyo-Shimizu Laboratory at Kyushu Institute of Technology.
