[Case Study] Coating to Eliminate Sheet Adhesion to Molds

Almost zero adhesion! Case study of coating used during decorative sheet transfer.

We will introduce a case that resolved the sticking of decorative sheets to molds during transfer. ■Background Decorative sheets with adhesive are set onto parts using molds and are transferred via vacuum. During this process, it was observed that excess sheets, other than those on the parts, would stick to certain parts of the mold. To prevent the sticking caused by the adhesive on the decorative sheets, surface treatment of the molds was being explored. ■Adoption of Coating and Effects By adopting our "Bicoat," significant improvements in preventing sticking were achieved.
