Sustained release properties surpassing fluororesin! The release effect of resin-welded plates has improved threefold.

The welding process for containers and lids necessary in the production line of lead-acid batteries. We will introduce examples of coatings that suppress resin adhesion to the welding mold and allow for long-term use!

■Concerns Lead-acid batteries, widely used in automobiles and commercial power sources. In the production process, after filling a resin box with electrodes and other components, the container and lid are welded to seal them. The heating plates used for welding are made of aluminum and are heated to over 200°C, but due to the occurrence of melted resin and stringing, a fluororesin (PTFE) coating was applied. ■Background In a production line that operates at temperatures above 200°C and produces several thousand shots a day, the coating on the heating plates peels off in less than a week. Reprocessing the coating has caused issues such as the hassle of changing setups and damage to molds, leading to decreased production efficiency. ■Adopted Coating "CHC-1111CR" ■Adoption Background and Effects Therefore, we proposed the newly developed "CHC-1111CR," which has equivalent release properties to fluororesin coatings and high hardness of the coating film during heating, making it resistant to peeling and wear. Testing on the actual line showed no stringing of the resin and no peeling of the coating, allowing for use in tens of thousands of shots and achieving a lifespan approximately three times that of conventional coatings. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document.*

basic information

CHC (Ceramic Hard Coat) is a new type of fluoropolymer coating that combines the non-stick properties equivalent to standard fluoropolymer coatings with high film hardness at elevated temperatures. ■ Features - Non-stick properties equivalent to PTFE and PFA - High film hardness at temperatures above 200°C (compared to PTFE) * Based on internal testing ■ Applications - Resin welding plates - Resin molding molds - Heater plates * For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.
