ADLINK has released the ETX-BT module, demonstrating its ongoing commitment and support for customers implementing designs based on the ETX computer-on-module form factor. ETX is one of the earliest computer-on-module form factors. Although its adoption rate, over 20 years since its introduction, is only second to COM Express, the recent discontinuation of the highly popular Intel Atom N270 processor has led many users to consider replacing their ETX modules to ensure continued system operation. In such cases, a drop-in solution for ETX that provides equivalent or better performance and excellent thermal characteristics at both the hardware and software levels (among Intel products) is required to facilitate a smooth transition.
