ADLINK Technology, a global provider of edge computing solutions, announced that its intelligent industrial gateway has been adopted for the IoT tire management system developed in collaboration between Michelin Japan Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Michelin") and SoftBank Corp. (hereinafter "SoftBank"). The "Michelin TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) Cloud Service" is the first practical implementation by a tire manufacturer in Japan, enhancing safety and efficiency in industries such as vehicle management and construction, while providing cost-saving benefits. The TPMS is a system that attaches sensors to tires to detect air pressure and internal tire temperature, issuing warnings when these parameters fall outside of specified limits. ADLINK's industrial IoT gateway, the MXE-110i, offers a highly compact form factor with versatile RF connectivity and a fanless rugged structure, functioning as an in-vehicle communication device.
