Type 6650 Ultra-thin 4.5mm Width Flipper Solenoid Valve
A super-thin type of pump-less flipper solenoid valve has been introduced. It has the same width as a microplate, measuring 4.5mm.
It is a small solenoid valve or micropump with a special structure that prevents fluid from touching the metal at all. It has been developed for the medical, biomedical, analytical (gas and liquid), bio, and semiconductor industries.

This is an ultra-slim solenoid valve with a width of just 4.5mm. This 4.5mm width is designed to fit a 384-well microplate, making it ideal for fluid control in dispensers and pipettors. The wetted parts are made of PEEK and FFKM, providing excellent corrosion resistance against most chemicals. The response time is 5ms, which is exceptionally fast for a solenoid valve used for liquids. Burkert's unique flipper solenoid valve structure eliminates the pump effect (the suction/discharge of fluid due to changes in the internal volume of the solenoid valve), allowing for high-precision shut-off and switching of flow paths. In a dispensing machine, it can also be used as a substitute for a syringe pump through control of pressure and time.
