Sintered stainless steel filter applications using iron powder
We provide the optimal varieties to match the characteristics of individual filters and diverse requirements.
This is an introduction to the applications of sintered stainless steel filters made from iron powder, handled by Heganes Japan Co., Ltd.
basic information
Sintered metal filters are manufactured by compacting metal powder through pressing and then sintering it. This process allows for the formation of a metal matrix that has sufficient mechanical strength while possessing the porosity necessary to function as a filter. Additionally, because they can be shaped into unique forms, there is a benefit of omitting or reducing costly machining processes. Sintered filters have uniformly distributed pores ranging from 0.2 to 100 microns in size. By adjusting the material, shape, and porosity of the filter, a wide range of functions can be tailored, including capillary action, electrical resistance, thermal conductivity, permeability to gases and liquids, and mechanical properties. □ For other functions and details, please contact us.

The world's first metal powder manufacturer to receive certification from SBTi (Science Based Target initiative).
Heganesu Corporation has become the first company in the metal powder industry to be certified by the SBTi. Initially, the goal was to reduce Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 51% from 2018 levels by 2030, and to reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions, which include raw materials and transportation, by 30%. However, the company has continued to diligently pursue its efforts, accelerating its goals and achieving SBTi certification. Specifically, the goals are as follows: 2030: Achieve net-zero emissions in its own processes* (Scope 1, 2) Reduce upstream Scope 3 emissions by 30%, focusing on raw materials** 2037: Achieve net-zero across the entire value chain (Scope 1, 2, and upstream Scope 3) *Net-zero: Any GHG emissions that cannot be reduced will be removed using carbon removal technologies. **Refers to the processes from raw material sourcing to factory acceptance based on 2018 levels. What is SBTi? A joint initiative by WWF, CDP, the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the United Nations Global Compact. It recommends, promotes, supports, and certifies companies to ensure that their greenhouse gas reduction targets are based on scientific evidence, aiming to limit the global average temperature rise to below 1.5 degrees Celsius.
