Iron powder for welding applications
In addition to various covered welding rods, we also offer a range of metal powders for flux-cored and metal-cored wires.
This is an introduction to the welding applications of iron powder handled by Heganes Japan Co., Ltd.
basic information
Iron powder has been used for a long time as a raw material for coated welding rods. Recently, it has also gained attention as a raw material for cored wires. The amount of iron powder used in the coating of welding rods ranges from a few percent to over 60 percent. In some metal cored wires, iron powder makes up 80 percent of the core material. Adding iron powder to coated welding rods and cored wires offers benefits such as high efficiency, improved weldability, and enhanced quality of the welding material. In low-alloy and high-alloy welding rods, some or all of the iron powder is replaced with other metal powders or alloyed iron powders. Heganes' standard welding iron powder is based on sponge iron powder and is known for its high purity and stable quality. We provide homogeneous and high-quality sponge iron powder that benefits those who manufacture welding rods as well as those who actually use them, whether for coated welding rods or flux-cored wires. □ For other functions and details, please contact us.
