ISTA 1E Non-Simulation

[Transport Test] We will conduct a series of packaging tests in accordance with the test sequence specified in ISTA 1E.

Overview of the ISTA 1E Test: - This test applies to packaged products, either a single package or multiple packages, that are loaded on a pallet or skid and secured as a single palletized cargo, for example, with stretch film or bands. - This test does not take into account temperature, humidity, or atmospheric pressure that may occur during transportation, and it is not a packaging test that simulates the transportation environment. Users can utilize it as a consistent screening test. - The test consists of Preconditioning, Vibration, Shock, and Corner Drop tests. During Preconditioning, the test samples are left in the test chamber environment for 12 hours before the test. - If fixed displacement vibration is selected, the frequency at which the cargo bounces is explored, and the frequency is applied to a formula to calculate the excitation time. - If random vibration is selected, it is excited in the vertical direction only for 60 minutes. - For the shock test, an impact of 1.7 m per second is applied to the cargo from four directions. - After a series of vibration tests, shock tests, and corner drop tests are conducted consecutively, the box is opened to check for damage. - The criteria for pass or fail after the test are to be defined before the test.

basic information

【Test Sequence】 1. Vibration Test (Fixed Displacement Vibration Test or Random Vibration Test) 2. Shock Test (Inclined Shock Test or Horizontal Shock Test) 3. One-Sided Drop Test 【ISTA 1E】 ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) is one of the international standards widely adopted in various countries for the evaluation testing standards of packaged goods, similar to ISO and ASTM. In recent years, its presence has particularly increased in Southeast Asia and China, and more companies are adopting ISTA testing standards as their internal standards. Additionally, the international standard for sterilization packaging in medical devices, ISO11607 (JIS T8041), recommends ISTA testing as one of the options for packaging performance evaluation. Our testing lab was accredited by ISTA in December 2010 and conducts packaging tests tailored to customer requirements according to the testing methods specified by ISTA. ▼ For more details, please download the PDF document (recommended). ▼ Customers in a hurry, please contact us through the 'Contact Us' section below.
