This revision aims to enhance the consistency and accuracy of the testing. Addition of related standards due to strengthened consistency among standards: ASTM D5118 (Specification for Fiberboard Shipping Boxes) ASTM D6804 (Guide for Shipping Containers) 2. New requirements for movable platens: It is now mandatory to drive the platen at a constant speed of 0.5 inches per minute (12.7 mm ± 2.5 mm/min). This change aims to improve testing accuracy. 3.
