Contec has developed a high-performance FA computer designed for continuous 24-hour operation, compatible with the 13th generation (Raptor Lake) Intel® Core™ processors, and has started accepting orders for the "VPC-3200 series (hereinafter referred to as the new product)" from March 18, 2025. The new product is an industrial computer for the factory automation (FA) sector, intended for continuous 24-hour operation in critical equipment control systems and manufacturing sites, and is the latest model in the VPC series, which has seen many adoptions since its launch in 2009. While maintaining compatibility in dimensions with the previous model "VPC-3100 series" and inheriting features such as the ability to install a total of four PCI Express and PCI boards, it achieves approximately 2.9 times the processing speed improvement*, making it suitable for edge computing environments that require advanced image processing and high-speed control processing. Additionally, to enhance maintainability, a new POST code display has been added, allowing for easy monitoring of the PC's status. * Based on a comparison of PassMark values between the previous model VPC-3100 Core i5-8500 and VPC-3200 Core i5-13500E.
