[Case Study] Eliminating Variability in Work Cutting Machines

The repeat accuracy of the work cutting machine is not as expected! Here is an example of the introduction of a linear encoder system!

The accuracy of the aluminum work cutting machine was unstable, leading to unnecessary work due to the need for accuracy checks every time. We are considering the introduction of a photoelectric system, but it was mentioned that "there is a possibility of false detection due to aluminum dust." We received requests such as "we want a scale that is not affected by aluminum dust" and "we don't mind an accuracy of about 0.1mm, but we want to keep the introduction costs low." Therefore, we installed the "SI-140PAC (Incremental)" made by Makome Research Institute on the aluminum cutting machine.
