The control of nutrient sources and metabolites is initiated by measuring their concentration and the rate of change. In previous technologies, when a change in concentration occurred, manual operation of feed pumps and other equipment was required to respond to that change and return to the set point. However, with BioPAT Trace and BioPAT Multi Trace, automatic control without operator intervention is made possible.
