Widely adopted in automobile factories: self-locking reducers, winches, and jacks.

Winches, rack jacks, and reducers that hold loads without brakes are widely adopted in automobile factories, with the key factors being lightweight, compact design, and space-saving!

We have developed a number of applied products featuring a unique load-holding function with a deceleration mechanism (shoji-lock), which have been well received by our customers. <Features of shoji-lock products> - When rotation is applied from the input side, the output side decelerates and transmits power, but rotation is not possible from the output side = self-locking function. This means that no brakes are needed, and loads can be held at the desired position. - Compared to worm gear reducers with the same self-locking function, our products are highly efficient. Additionally, while worms have input and output axes that are orthogonal, our input and output shafts are aligned in a straight line (in-line), making them significantly more compact, space-saving, and lightweight. - Unlike ratchets or one-way clutches, loads can be held at any position where motion is stopped, regardless of the direction of rotation. Furthermore, there is no ratchet noise, making them suitable for use in quiet environments. - They feature a basic sealed structure (IP65) and are maintenance-free. - We offer a range of applied products, including gear reducers, winches, and linear actuators (rack jacks), that leverage this self-locking mechanism. - Stainless steel versions are also available for each model, suitable for clean room applications. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

basic information

<Inline Reducer = SRM/SRE Series> - Suitable for various tasks as it can hold the workpiece during tilting and reversing. - Higher efficiency compared to worm reducers. - Compact design and lightweight achieved as the input and output shafts are aligned (inline), unlike bulky worms. - Selection based on output torque; detailed lineup available in the catalog. <Winch = SWM/SWE Series> - Loads can be wound up with a handle, and the load is held when the handle is released, making it suitable for various tasks. - Unlike a ratchet, it can hold position in both forward and reverse rotation without the need to release the brake. - Available types that can be driven by commercially available electric tools (drill drivers). - Manual SWM models support loads of 50 to 100 kg. - Electric (tool) SWE models support loads of 50 to 300 kg. <Rack Jack = SLM/SLE Series, SLW> - Holds the load when a round rack rod (commercially available) is raised and stopped, suitable for various tasks. - Additional guide rods can be added in case buckling is a concern. - Manual SLM models support loads of 50 to 400 kg. - Electric SLE models support loads of 100 to 400 kg. - Some models can be connected in pairs for simultaneous operation (without intermediate shaft).

Applications/Examples of results

Usage: Used for tilting and inverting operations as factory jigs, adopted for the opening and closing parts of furnace lids, tilting parts of mixers, tilting parts of liquid containers, opening and closing of partitions, and operations in places without power (using drill drivers), positioning jigs. Track Record: Semiconductor-related, vacuum equipment manufacturers, food machinery, automotive factories, plant-related, various machinery manufacturers (mixing and powder), furnace-related, nuclear power-related, shipbuilding and marine-related, defense and military-related, conveying equipment, construction and housing-related, etc. "shoji-lock" to stop movement Not only does it transmit power, but it also assists in the basic operation of wanting to hold a load. On land: automotive manufacturing lines, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, plant-related, etc. At sea: for opening and closing ship gates, for raising underwater survey equipment, for raising and lowering the roofs of houseboats, etc. In the air: for high-altitude work devices, for power line repair work, for industrial unmanned aerial vehicles, etc. It is adopted in various situations and for various purposes. In particular, stainless steel products are widely used in the semiconductor sector. For more details, please refer to the catalog and website.

The load-holding function equipped reduction mechanism (shoji-lock) has been developed for application products such as winches and rack jacks since the early 2000s. Steady sales activities have borne fruit, and it has begun to be adopted for various applications. Unlike conventional worm reduction gears with self-locking functions where the input and output shafts are orthogonal, our design features them in a straight line (inline), allowing for a compact design and space-saving, which has received high praise and resulted in a diverse range of practical examples. (Patents have been obtained in Japan, the United States, the EU (Germany, France, the UK), China, South Korea, and Taiwan.) Furthermore, starting in April 2023, we launched a new overseas parts procurement business, beginning with Vietnam. Currently, a majority of our parts are procured overseas, and leveraging our achievements and network, we aim to assist companies struggling with cost reduction in parts procurement.
