Spindle Line Compatible Painting Robot 'SWAN-C'
Explosion-proof painting robot "Swan C" compatible with spindle lines transitions from fixed gun method to robot painting. Significant improvement in high cost structure.
The painting robot Swan C, which significantly improves the painting costs of the spindle line painting system, uses a dedicated robot equipped with 16 guns instead of the conventional fixed gun method. One gun is responsible for one workpiece and completes the painting (finishing). This spindle line-compatible painting robot achieves a coating efficiency of approximately 42%. The specialized painting technology "R Technology" from Takubo Engineering enables cost-effective painting. It can be easily installed in front of existing spindle lines. It can be synchronized with the line speed for immediate production. Of course, it is also possible to set up a new spindle line and establish a new painting line. The compatible workpieces include items such as lipstick and rouge caps that were previously painted on the spindle line.
basic information
- Optimized for Spindle Coating "Swan C" - - Paints in accordance with the spindle line - Can accommodate work pitch according to the workpiece - Unique development of a super compact spray gun that excels in low-pressure atomization and saves paint - Paint supply device (syringe pump) built into the robot to eliminate quality variation and paint loss costs - Pathway to Digitalization - Achieving the rationalization of painting by digitizing the previously analog-managed painting line. ● Maximizing loss cost reduction by minimizing unnecessary paint consumption ● Verification through fluid analysis to assess coating efficiency ● Evolving painting robots that adapt to the demands of painting and society ● Visualization of painting: comprehensive data management including paint usage, production volume, and management of target workpieces ● Painting DX Swanist: dedicated software that manages everything from teaching to painting conditions

Detailed information
-
Equipped with 16 dedicated small guns. Expandable to 24 guns. Since one syringe pump corresponds to one gun, there is no variation in the spray guns, enhancing the quality of the paint.
-
All condition settings are managed numerically. It's easy to leave it to the dedicated software, Swanys. The usage and discharge amounts of paint are visualized clearly. Additionally, saved data can be easily edited, managed, and expanded. Furthermore, if the same robot is used, data can be shared between factories located in different areas, ensuring consistent quality. This significantly reduces the burden caused by distributed production risks.
-
Easy teaching with the dedicated software "Swanist." Creation, editing, execution, saving, and deployment can be done quickly and easily. It also supports offline teaching. It is effective for educating robot operators, pursuing painting, research, and improving productivity.
-
Developed a super compact automatic gun specifically for the Scotch Gun series. It excels in atomization at low pressure, enhancing paint quality while simultaneously cutting coating loss costs.
-
Swan C, developed based on data obtained from the analysis of coating efficiency through fluid simulation. The coating efficiency improved from approximately 7% to about 42%. We validated the painting technology through simulations aimed at improving the coating efficiency of conventional spindle painting and Swan C.

By digitizing the management of painting robots, we are advancing DX (Digital Transformation). We manage painting not just through teaching, but by combining it with data such as condition settings and control of peripheral devices.
