By rotating the air knife, optimal water removal/drying of complex shapes is achieved! The Sonic Corporation's rotary air knife (patented) was developed for water removal (blow-off) and drying of parts with complex shapes. The gaps in the air knife are angled at 15° relative to the rotating axis, allowing high-speed air to be ejected while changing the blowing surface at regular intervals against the areas for water removal and drying. This effectively removes water/drying by allowing a single air knife to pass over the uneven parts and sides of the workpiece multiple times. The rotary air knife can reduce energy costs compared to water removal/drying performed by several air knives. Additionally, it saves space as the installation of multiple air knives is unnecessary.
