The biggest feature of the ultrasonic spray nozzle is that it can apply liquid in a "fluffy" manner! The common method for applying liquid is generally to pressurize it and then spray it. To achieve finer atomization, there is also a method of applying air to the liquid. The common point of these two methods is "pressurization." While it is good to be able to finely atomize the liquid, applying it under pressure causes the fragmented particles to gain speed. I believe many of you have experienced liquid splattering everywhere when taking a shower. This situation is characteristic of pressurized application. In other words, if an expensive liquid is applied using a pressurized method, there is a risk that the liquid will splatter. The ultrasonic spray nozzle was able to solve this problem. This case involves the challenging application to non-woven fabric.

The removal of water droplets, draining, and drying of steel plates is generally done using ring rolls or air nozzles for compressors. When using a compressor, it requires a huge amount of electricity. Additionally, with ring rolls, there are costs associated with their replacement frequency and maintenance. Furthermore, since they are contact-type, there is a possibility of occasional scratches occurring. Therefore, Sonic Corporation recommends the use of a non-contact blower that reduces power consumption for water droplet removal to address these issues. We have included a case study on this topic. Please take a moment to review it when you have time. Thank you.

Suppressing the dispersion of flux with ultrasonic spraying! The biggest feature of the ultrasonic spray nozzle is that it atomizes the liquid using a piezoelectric element. In contrast, pressurized systems reduce the liquid size through pressure. Due to the pressure, the liquid has speed, which causes the sprayed liquid to disperse in most cases. The ultrasonic spray nozzle solves this problem. We have a limited number of demo units available. Please feel free to contact our specialized staff.

Moisture management for product quality control seems simple but is a challenging application. Particularly with materials like paper, if it becomes too humid, the paper can become soggy, and if it dries out too much, it can crack. The company Lehiller has been continuously improving this seemingly simple issue in collaboration with a certain pulp manufacturer in Europe. Lehiller offers two types of air-assisted spray nozzles: internal mixing and external mixing. A two-fluid nozzle is a special nozzle that can produce finer particles than a single-fluid nozzle by colliding liquid and air. The internal mixing nozzle is designed to break down low-viscosity liquids with few impurities and air inside the nozzle for spraying. The external mixing nozzle, on the other hand, collides liquid and air outside the nozzle tip for spraying, making it particularly suitable for high-viscosity liquids. Additionally, by changing the shape of the nozzle tip, it is possible to create various spray patterns, such as flat spray or full cone (front spray).

The trend is shifting from compressor systems to blower systems for water removal and drying processes. Why is that? It's due to "running costs." The simplest and most user-friendly option for water removal and drying is "compressed air." This is especially easy to use in factories. However, with long-term use, the compressor runs at full capacity, leading to high electricity consumption. Therefore, the idea is to use blower air instead, which can provide the same impact force from the air knife while keeping the motor capacity low, thus reducing electricity costs. Such cases are becoming more common in the industrial sector (and other sectors as well). However, unless the selection of the blower and air knife is correct, switching from a compressor system to a blower system is not feasible. Sonic Corporation offers systems that fully utilize the capabilities of blowers and air knives at 100%. This case study is based on that premise.

Removing micro-particles that adhere to parts without a water washing process before entering the clean room presents a significant challenge. In most cases, the chips attached to the parts are micro-particles generated from the finished product, rather than dirt (foreign substances). Wiping and blowing off do not address the issue of micro-particles that are charged with static electricity. By using static elimination bars and air knives, it is possible to remove both micro-particles and static electricity. However, eliminating the water washing process for parts is a cost-effective idea, but the notion of blowing micro-particles out of the clean room seems to merely shift one problem to another. Sonic Corporation is the leading manufacturer that provides blowers and air knives as a system, as well as manufacturing and selling other accessories. Medical devices and semiconductor equipment, including clean rooms, represent one of the more challenging applications beyond general blow-off. Sonic Corporation is expanding its sales channels in the medical device field while conducting OEM for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This case is part of that effort, and I hope it serves as a reference for solving your current issues.

【Lechler】Vario Spay II by Lechler Single-fluid spray nozzle system with pulse width adjustment function This system allows for the precise application of very small amounts of liquid using a single-fluid spray nozzle. It is characterized by the absence of variations in spray angle and particle size even when the flow rate changes. Moreover, since it does not use air to atomize the liquid, there is minimal liquid drift, creating a favorable working environment. - Turn-down ratio is approximately 10:1 - Up to 8 spray nozzles can be used with a single controller - Does not require air for atomization - Constant (stable) spray angle - No variation in particle size (stable) - Wear-resistant valve Main applications: - Bacteria eradication (alcohol application) - Application of edible oils - Humidification of products baked in food ovens - Oil application on iron plates - Application of vitamins and low-viscosity sugar solutions - Scratch prevention for glass bottles - Humidification of fiber materials - Humidification of rotors - Water spraying on wood before decoration (to prevent warping) - Application of insecticides on natural fibers used as insulation for automobile door panels - Protection of components in soldering processes This case study involves the application of seasonings.

Using liquids for small-scale fragrance application is one of the very challenging applications. With a pressurized method, the yield is poor, and liquid tends to splatter around the application area. With an ultrasonic method, the atomized liquid falls under its own weight, allowing for a gentle application on the workpiece. Here, we will introduce examples that utilize this characteristic.

The process of washing → drying → painting is a common flow in various manufacturing processes. This time, we will present a case where there was an issue with the "drying" in the "washing, drying, painting" sequence!

The new product, the MaxiSpinner2 tank cleaning nozzle from Lehira, is a sibling product to the MiniSpinner, MicroSpinner, and NanoSpinner. The MaxiSpinner2 is the largest product in this series and features effective cleaning and a durable bearing structure. The Lehira company's air-operated spray nozzle (two-fluid micro-spray nozzle) supplies a mist-like spray by colliding air and liquid. Various nozzle designs are available depending on specific applications. Flat air spray nozzles are sometimes used for painting or cooling. They are also used in locations where a wide linear pattern is needed, such as on conveyors. Full cone air spray nozzles are preferred for applications that require a relatively narrow and deep annular pattern. They are particularly suitable for cooling exhaust gases, temperature regulation of gases, and humidification. There are two methods for mixing liquids: internal mixing and external mixing. The internal mixing type is ideal for using water with few impurities or low-viscosity liquids. The external mixing type causes the liquid to collide with air after passing through the nozzle orifice, creating a mist. There are three types of power: gravity-fed, siphon type, and pressure type. This case study involves quality control of packaging materials using a two-fluid spray nozzle.

[Sonaer] (Case Study) Ultrasonic Spray Nozzle by Sonia Corporation Would you like to create microspheres using an ultrasonic spray nozzle? How the ultrasonic spray nozzle works: At the center of the probe is a piezo ceramic that converts electrical signals into mechanical vibrations. These vibrations are amplified during the step that forms the tip of the probe. They then reflect against the piezo ceramic, creating standing waves with the outgoing waves. Such standing waves function similarly to a pump that draws liquid into the center of the probe. Sonia's atomizer probe is designed to spray liquid continuously. In other words, it prevents backflow of standing waves that could cause sudden bursts of liquid known as "flushing." Due to its center floating tube design, backflow does not occur even at low flow rates. For smooth water supply, it is recommended to use gear pumps, syringe pumps, or extrusion-type pumps. Would you like to create small spheres using this ultrasonic spray method? This case study is about those microspheres.

If the blower's capacity does not match the length and opening of the air knife, proper water drainage drying cannot be achieved. Sonic Corporation is the leading manufacturer that can consistently provide products ranging from blowers to air knives and other accessories. For over 30 years, we have been working with food and beverage manufacturers on the eternal theme of "water drainage drying," and our achievements are recognized worldwide. We have solved water drainage drying issues for various shapes of workpieces, including cans, bottles, PET bottles, and retort pouches. This case study focuses on the water drainage drying of PET bottles.

【Sonaer】Ultrasonic Spray Nozzle Ultrasonic vibrations generated by piezoelectric ceramics are transmitted to the spray nozzle (atomizer/nebulizer), where they vibrate the liquid film. This vibration forms fine particles for spraying (atomization/application). Unlike conventional spray nozzles, the liquid is supplied without pressure. "No pressurized liquid" means "no splatter or rebound," resulting in no waste of the applied liquid and eliminating the need for large booths. This case study involves fuel cells.

What is that marking on the multi-channel jet? A quick reference guide you can understand at a glance! 【Lechler】 Lechler Air Nozzle (Multi-Channel Jet) As you may know, Lechler is Europe's number one manufacturer of spray nozzles, producing and selling not only air nozzles but also liquid spray nozzles and approximately 45,000 types of spray nozzles, air nozzles, and accessories. All of these products are managed under German model numbers. Due to the very long sequence of numbers (with letters), we have established Japanese model numbers specifically for air nozzles. Even though it has been several decades since their launch, we still receive inquiries like, "What is this number?" Therefore, we have created a quick reference guide for air nozzles (multi-channel jets). Please take a moment to review it. It will be immediately clear what that model number corresponds to. If you have any questions or inquiries, please feel free to contact our staff.

【Secomak】Video on the settings of the air amplifier (ring jet) Seeing is believing! Rush towards the outlet along the Coanda shape! The center of the chamber becomes low pressure, attracting a large amount of surrounding air into the chamber, resulting in a high-speed and large volume of mixed air being discharged (blown out). The air amplifier (ring jet) we handle can be used not only for general cooling and transport with compressed air but also in hazardous areas. Additionally, because there are no moving parts, it can be processed safely and at low cost. The amount of air discharged quietly and efficiently is approximately 22 times that of the air discharged from a compressor. The standard model is made of aluminum. There are a total of 7 types, and the discharged air volume can range from 221m³/h to a maximum of 2000m³/h.

We have added a demo video of the ultrasonic spray nozzle manufactured by Sonaer. This addition features a system check video for the ultrasonic spray nozzle used for internal coating of blood collection tubes and vials. Sonaer, in collaboration with a partner company in the UK, manufactures and sells internal coating equipment for blood collection tubes and vials.

Lechler GmbH, a member of the EGCS (Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems) association, provides spray nozzles and mist separators for scrubber systems on vessels operating worldwide. It has been several years since the International Maritime Organization (IMO) strengthened regulations on sulfur oxide emissions from ships. However, the reality is that many existing vessels have not yet been equipped with scrubbers. Lechler utilizes its accumulated expertise in exhaust gas desulfurization systems to design, propose, and sell spray nozzles and mist separators for ships. Additionally, if needed, a web conference with a manufacturer representative can be arranged. *Our staff will provide interpretation. We would appreciate it if you could take the time to read this matter.

The trend towards decarbonization is becoming mainstream now. However, there are still many places that require high-efficiency flue gas desulfurization systems. It is currently difficult to invest in existing systems, not new projects. Therefore, we would like to introduce a very unique spray nozzle. Particularly in Europe and the United States, there are many flue gas desulfurization systems that use this type of spray nozzle, and they are continuously in use. Since it is a ceramic spray nozzle, its lifespan is longer than that of conventional iron-based nozzles. Additionally, various connection methods are available, including flange type, screw type, and lamination type. By using existing spray piping and simply replacing that section, the droplets become smaller than those from single-orifice nozzles, making it effective.

【Lechler】Lechler's ultra-compact rotary tank cleaning nozzle We have uploaded a video of the cleaning test of the inner surface of the container using the ultra-compact rotary tank cleaning nozzle, which seemed to exist but did not, to our company's YouTube channel. The video provided by the manufacturer was for demonstration purposes and featured a tank with a very large diameter, making it difficult to convey the image. This video shows the cleaning of the interior of a plastic container that has been inverted. The pressure is very low at 0.2 MPa, but it rotates vigorously and effectively removes dirt from the inner surface with coarse particles. (This test uses tap water.) Advantages/Features of the tank cleaning nozzle: - Prevention of accidents caused by manual work - Fewer mechanical parts, making nozzle maintenance easy - Reduction of maintenance time (automatic cleaning function, reduction of manual work time) - Reduction of running costs (energy saving, reduction of cleaning solution, reduction of labor/operating time) - Easier maintenance tasks such as removal, allowing for more functional cleaning compared to fixed spray balls - Recommended pressure range is low at 0.1 to 1 MPa

【Sonic】Sonic Corporation's Blower & Air Knife System Sonic Corporation's methodology for water removal and drying involves generating a large volume of air with the blower, which creates speed (air velocity) at the air knife outlet to achieve water removal, drying, and blowing away foreign substances. In short, the concept is that 'Speed (air velocity)' = 'Pressure (impact force)'. While it is often compared to compressed air, generating the same air volume with a compressor requires about four times the power. This means that the running costs would be approximately four times higher compared to Sonic Corporation's blower. Therefore, we recommend the use of blowers for water removal and drying on conveyor lines. Depending on the initial costs, the return on investment (ROI) can be recovered quickly when considering these running costs. Currently, with the push for decarbonization, it is essential to review electricity usage. The water removal and drying process is an indispensable application within factories. Would you consider this during your review of processes? This case study involves the water removal and drying after cleaning pallets for contact lenses.

Would you like to consider "energy saving, reduction of spraying liquid, and environmental improvement" by reviewing the spraying method? Creating fine liquid droplets requires a lot of energy. For example, a two-fluid spray nozzle that combines liquid pressure and air pressure. Even if the droplets are fine, if those droplets have speed, it can lead to poor coating efficiency and yield. The solution to this problem is the ultrasonic spray nozzle. Ultrasonic vibrations from piezoelectric ceramics are transmitted to the spray nozzle, causing the liquid film to vibrate, forming fine droplets, and then spraying them. Since no pressure is applied to the liquid, the droplet particles have no speed. As a result, there is very little scattering or bouncing back, and the liquid being applied is sprayed without waste. This time, we will explain the benefits of changing a previously used two-fluid nozzle to an ultrasonic spray nozzle as a case study. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our staff.

【Sonic】Sonic Corporation Blower & Air Knife System Energy-saving measures with a blower from a compressor Draining water from steel pipes is a challenging task, especially the longer the pipe is. In the case of a compressor system (using air nozzles), it is very difficult to dry the residual liquid inside the steel pipe, which requires replacing the air nozzle itself. However, by using the Sonic Corporation blower, a large volume of air can be sent into the exchange area, making it possible to accommodate longer steel pipes. (Refer to the YouTube video) We kindly ask you to consider this at least once.

Lechler offers over 25,000 types of spray nozzles and accessories. Lechler Air Nozzle Commonly known as: Multi-Channel Jet Noise level + Energy saving + High efficiency This air nozzle achieves three goals at once: reducing noise levels, considering running costs, and optimizing blow effect. Various shapes and materials of air nozzles are available, led by the best-selling FL-600E. Simply making the nozzle smaller does not necessarily improve noise levels, energy efficiency, or blow effect. Would you consider trying an air nozzle designed from the perspective of fluid dynamics? You might see significant improvements from something small.

Would you like to try freeze-drying using an ultrasonic spray nozzle? Creating fine liquid droplets requires a lot of energy. Water drainage drying of wires and cables is a task that seems simple but is actually quite difficult. This is especially true on manufacturing lines that operate at high speeds and produce products of varying sizes on the same line, making the water drainage drying process even more challenging. Would you like to solve such problems? 【Sonic Corporation's Blower & Air Knife System】 By rotating the fan inside the blower at a minimum of approximately 12,000 rpm to 20,000 rpm, it is possible to achieve a larger air volume than that of compressors or domestic blowers. Additionally, one of the greatest features of the Sonic Air Knife System is that it is very economical, consuming only a fraction of the power compared to similar operations that use conventional compressed air. Environmentally, it not only operates at low noise levels but also contributes to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions due to its low power consumption.

Lechler (Case Study) Lechler GmbH not only sells spray nozzles for industrial use but also offers spray nozzles and accessories for agriculture. Generally, agricultural spray nozzles have been primarily used for spraying pesticides and other substances attached to helicopters and agricultural machinery. However, recently, the methods of pesticide application, as well as the regulations surrounding them, have been strengthened. Lechler GmbH provides products that comply with such laws and regulations. Among these is a drift-reducing spray nozzle, which can help minimize pesticide application. The spray nozzles used for agricultural drones have typically been standard nozzles, but there has arisen a need to modify them based on the application content. This case study serves as an example of a demonstration experiment for the spraying method in a vineyard.

There are various methods for water removal drying. This solution was achieved using a blower and an air knife. By rotating the fan inside the blower at a minimum of approximately 12,000 rpm to 20,000 rpm, it is possible to obtain a larger airflow than that of compressors or domestic blowers. Additionally, one of the biggest features of the Sonic Air Knife System is that it is very economical, consuming only a fraction of the power compared to similar operations using conventional compressed air. Environmentally, it not only produces low noise but also contributes to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions due to its low power consumption. This time, the case study involves water removal drying after inspecting for leaks in the vehicle body.
