Fine Tech Japan Specialized Technology Seminar "Chromaticity and Uniformity Inspection in Micro LED"
At the 28th Fine Tech Japan (LCD, Organic EL, Sensor Technology Exhibition) specialized technical seminar, I will also be giving a presentation. As μLED is becoming the mainstream device to meet the expanding display's color gamut and contrast, the uniformity of brightness and chromaticity has become an issue due to the intensification of self-emission. The world's first developed two-dimensional spectral radiance meter, SR-5000, can analyze subpixels smaller than 2um! In this presentation, I will introduce examples. ■ "Chromaticity and Uniformity Inspection in Micro LED" Presentation December 7 (Friday) 9:30–10:20 Optical Measurement Department Sales Group Manager Kazuto Nishikawa We sincerely look forward to your attendance!

Launch of the hybrid type 2D spectral radiometer SR-5000H.
This product is the industry's first convertible model that combines "2D spectral method" and "2D XYZ filter method." Optical measuring instruments are generally classified into two types of photometric and colorimetric methods: "spectral method" and "XYZ filter method" (which has spectral sensitivity characteristics equivalent to the color matching functions considered to be the sensitivity of the human eye). Furthermore, there are types for "point (spot) measurement" and "2D (area) measurement," allowing users to select instruments according to their product evaluation and inspection needs. The target applications for product evaluation and inspection include displays such as LCDs and related components, OLEDs, QDs, lasers, and micro LEDs. We aim to acquire a wide range of users, not only panel manufacturers and set manufacturers but also various component manufacturers, including those involved in LCD backlights, and particularly users related to the OLED market, which has seen active capital investment both domestically and internationally in recent years. Additionally, this next-generation measuring instrument can be used in various industries, such as evaluating spectral characteristics of automotive meter panels, interior and exterior lighting, landscape spectral evaluation indoors and outdoors, and spectral evaluation of textiles and dyed fabrics. The product lineup includes wide-angle, telephoto, and macro specifications, making it suitable for evaluating a wide range of sample sizes.

Developed and manufactured with a custom optical filter, the 2D color luminance meter 'UA-200' will be available for sale starting November 1, 2014!!
We developed the 2D color luminance meter UA-200 equipped with an optically filtered system that we independently developed and manufactured, and it has been on sale since November 1, 2014. This product, newly added to the UA series of surface measurement instruments, maximally utilizes the optical technology and know-how unique to our company, a manufacturer of optical devices. In addition to our proprietary optical system, the newly developed high-precision optical filter is its most significant feature. This in-house optical filter has been designed with thin-film technology tailored to the optical system characteristics within the product, achieving spectral sensitivity characteristics equivalent to the color matching functions considered to represent human eye sensitivity. By integrating this with the calibration and correction technology we have cultivated over many years in our unique photometric and colorimetric instruments, we have achieved a high color accuracy (±0.008 or less in multi-color light) that surpasses conventional color luminance meters.

Sales started in March 2014: Topcon Technohouse's successor to the handheld luminance meter 'BM-9A'
Topcon Technohouse Co., Ltd. has developed the "BM-9A," a successor to the handheld luminance meter "BM-9," significantly improving luminance accuracy and measurement range. Sales will begin in March 2014. The luminance measurement range has been expanded from the previous model's 0.01 to 19,990,000 cd/m² to 0.01 to 28,000,000 cd/m², and the luminance accuracy guarantee has been improved from ±4% to ±2%. As with the previous model, three types of measurement angle light receiving heads (2°, 1°, 0.2°) can be selected and exchanged. It also comes standard with USB communication and analog signal output functions, and a new zero correction function without a cap has been added, making it even more suitable for embedded applications as a "luminance sensor" in customer production processes and various industrial devices. By connecting an oscilloscope or similar device to the analog signal output, it is possible to measure response and flicker light. Additionally, it can be powered by AA batteries, allowing for the measurement of reflected luminance on floors and the luminance evaluation of guiding blocks for visually impaired individuals outdoors. Furthermore, measurement data collection via PC using the standard application software MT-100 is also possible.
