Due to the adoption of the front seal method, the mechanical and thermal stresses acting on the sensor have been reduced compared to the conventional shoulder seal method. Additionally, the elimination of gaps during installation has decreased dead volume, and the surface pressure at the seal area has significantly decreased. The 6215 has been approved by NATO as a successor to the 6203 (AC/225 LG/3-SG/1). Consequently, the current NATO standardization agreements (STANGAGs) and testing methods (MOPIs) have been revised.
