Our company has developed the 'PROTOMAR' diameter measurement head to meet the increasing quality demands in the manufacturing of medium to large workpieces such as brooches, railway vehicle axles, printing rolls, and milling rollers, used both during and after the grinding process. A major feature is that it is a gauge for absolute value measurement. Therefore, there is no need for special zero-setting; it can measure various diameters within the set measurement range simply by calibrating with a known master. 【Other Features】 - During the grinding process, the nominal value of the master obtained during zero setting is used as the reference value. - There is no need to use a master work for each cutting diameter. - The diameter measurement value is obtained by summing the value detected by the measurement cell and the value from the optical transducer position inside the measurement head. - During machining, the approach speed of the measurement cell is adjusted according to the detected amount of material removal. - The required contact between the measurement contact and the workpiece is always guaranteed. - The measurement cell is protected from the risk of collision that may occur in the case of intermittent surfaces. *For more details, please refer to the related link page or feel free to contact us.
