High-precision tool setting and inspection arm for lathes 'MIDA ARMS'
High repeat positioning accuracy, measurement arm system for tool inspection for lathes.
The MIDA ARM system is a contact-type tool setter application that allows you to set tools in lathes and turning centers of any size, and can be used to check their wear and integrity. The MIDA ARM detects tool coordinates with high precision. By instantly feeding the measurement values back to the machine, it eliminates human errors that can occur when manually entering data. Using the MIDA ARM eliminates the need to identify worn tools and reduces the number of tool settings and changeovers during the process.

| Model number | overview |
|---|---|
| Mida Set | Detachable arm. It is installed inside the machine during the tool set process and removed once completed. This system consists of a fixed base that is permanently attached to the spindle side of the machine and an arm section for attaching the touch probe. The adoption of a locking system ensures high repeatability accuracy of the measurement position of the touch probe. During the machining phase, the fixed base is protected by a sealed cover. This cover protects the electrical connection from dust and coolant. |
| Mida Tool Eye | A system consisting of a fixed base unit and an arm stored within the machine. The Mida Tool Eye has two versions: manual and electric. The difference between the two versions lies in how the probe is moved to the measurement position. In the manual Mida Tool Eye version, positioning is done by manually moving it up and down. In contrast, the electric Mida Tool Eye version allows for automatic positioning. |
