Previous food waste processors required the removal of processed material, but food waste decomposes into liquid within about 24 hours, eliminating the need to extract residue. As long as the processing capacity is not exceeded, additional food waste can be added. Specialized microorganisms for food waste processing densely inhabit a microbial carrier within the processing tank, and appropriate stirring enhances the biodegradation efficiency, allowing for a compact device. With minimal odor, indoor installation, which was previously difficult without deodorization and exhaust duct facilities, has now become feasible. Additionally, since high-temperature heating treatment is unnecessary, the power consumption required to operate the device can be significantly reduced. Being able to self-process food waste on-site greatly contributes to CO2 reduction.
