In the future, robots capable of coexisting with humans and the widespread adoption of mobility are expected, and our company is engaged in activities to advance various essential technological elements for their realization. We will actively deploy the functional safety design technology cultivated primarily through the development of in-vehicle equipment, the system design and development capabilities nurtured through diverse product development, and the advanced technologies and algorithms acquired through industry-academia collaboration, joint research, and our own research and development activities into next-generation fields. In particular, existing autonomous driving algorithms, which are based on the assumption of driving on flat surfaces, find it difficult to navigate uneven terrains such as construction sites, forests, and agricultural land with bumps and slopes. Our company is working on developing unique algorithms aimed at achieving safe and practical autonomous driving speeds on uneven terrain, focusing on high-precision self-position estimation, bump recognition, and route planning to avoid getting stuck.
