Enrichment Seed Selection Device
Select between viable seeds and non-viable seeds based on the presence or absence of lipids necessary for germination!
By irradiating seeds with infrared light and observing the reflection, it is possible to determine the presence or absence of lipids (ovules) necessary for germination. As shown in the figure on the right, the distribution of lipids can also be visualized using an infrared spectral camera.
