They are polished through CNC machining to achieve high precision performance in the NIR spectrum. Edmund Optics' Japanese subsidiary, Edmund Optics Japan Co., Ltd., has started selling "Super Polish Substrates and Nonlinear Optical Crystals." The "Nonlinear Optical Crystals" include β-Barium Borate (BBO) and Lithium Triborate (LBO), both featuring anti-reflective (AR) coatings with a surface quality of 20-10. The flatness is λ/8 for BBO crystals and λ/10 for LBO crystals. This beam expander features high LIDT and a fixed tube length, designed for high-power laser applications that require strict spatial constraints. To minimize beam jitter, it employs a mechanism that allows for internal lens movement and focus adjustment without rotation. This aspheric lens, which has a diffraction limit at the design wavelength, is optimized for the most common Nd:YAG laser wavelength and features a high laser damage threshold coating in its lineup. With an aspheric shape of 1.2λ and a slope factor of 0.35μm/mm, this product minimizes mid-spatial frequency (MSF) errors, making it suitable for demanding laser processing, cutting, and additive manufacturing applications.

Edmund Optics Japan Co., Ltd. has started selling the "TECHSPEC® High Load Capacity Linear Stage." This product features a high-rigidity brass structure and a drive mechanism operated by a hex wrench, allowing for high load capacity options of 5, 10, and 15 kg in a slim and compact overall size. The design, which does not use tension springs and is equipped with locking screws for fixing the stage position, enhances resistance to vibrations and stability. Made by doping silver nanoparticles into sodium silicate glass substrates, this polarizer features high-temperature stability up to +400°C, as well as resistance to chemicals, UV radiation, and fading.
