Risk assessment of chemical substances and establishment of an autonomous management system.

Responding to the revision of the Labor Safety and Health Act. Supporting the transition from traditional regulations to a "self-managed system" that promotes exposure reduction driven by the workplace.

Regulations concerning labor safety and health are currently undergoing a significant transformation. In response to the increase in the number of chemical substances with unknown hazards and harmful effects, which number in the tens of thousands in domestic circulation, a shift is beginning from traditional uniform legal regulations to a "self-regulatory management system" where businesses conduct their own risk assessments (RA) and minimize the concentration of exposure for workers to these substances. Additionally, safety management standards for the entire workplace are being strengthened, including the obligation to inform sole proprietors working in the same location about hazards and to implement measures to prevent health disorders. To address these changes, it is essential to establish reliable systems, such as regular updates of SDS information, record-keeping of RA results, and discussions in health committees. The full article, which includes procedures for revising internal regulations in response to legal amendments, implementation on-site, and a checklist for obtaining special certification, is available in the catalog.
