Wireless 4-component rotary dynamometer with crystal piezoelectric sensor! Measures the 3-component forces and torque acting on rotating tools during cutting!
The measurement system consists of a sensor-integrated rotor (a rotary dynamometer for cutting force measurement) that can be directly attached to the machine's spindle, and a signal conditioner that wirelessly receives data from the rotor. The type of rotor required is selected based on the type of spindle on the machine. A piezoelectric 4-component sensor, a 4-channel charge amplifier, and a data communication element are integrated into the rotor, allowing for the measurement of radial forces Fx and Fy, axial force Fz, and torque Mz.
To achieve the best measurement quality, each channel has four measurement ranges, and the settings can be adjusted according to whether finishing or rough machining is being performed. The signal conditioner is designed to support Ethernet connections. Parameter settings and data transfer to a PC can be performed through the same connection, and remote operation for starting and stopping measurements is also possible. The signal conditioner has an output signal of ±10V analog output for connecting the measurement system to the analog input of the machining center controller, accommodating various setups from fully automated composite machining to laboratory experiments.
A general-purpose data acquisition system for controlling interfaces and charge amplifiers!
The cutting power measurement DAQ system consists of a data acquisition box and DynoWare software. The data acquisition box can connect to two multi-channel charge amplifiers. A 16-bit A/D converter digitizes the analog output data. The system connects to a PC via a USB 2.0 port, and the control of the charge amplifier or signal conditioner is managed by the data acquisition box through an RS232C cable. Users can easily operate a high-sampling-rate data acquisition system.
The newly developed piezoelectric sensor integrated into the rotor can measure dynamic signals during high-speed cutting!
The 4-component rotary dynamometer consists of a rotor, stator, connection cables, and signal conditioner. The type of rotor is determined by the required spindle type on the machine side. A piezoelectric 4-component sensor and a 4-channel charge amplifier are integrated into the rotor to measure radial forces Fx and Fy, axial force Fz, and torque Mz.
The voltage output from the charge amplifier is digitized and transmitted to the stator. The range selection and power supply for the charge amplifier are transmitted non-contact from the stator to the rotor. There is a gap of a few millimeters between the stator and the machine tool.
The signal conditioner controls the measurement system. Additionally, the measurement range can be selected from three options, and measurements can be initiated manually or via a serial interface. The output signal is an analog voltage of ±10V. Data can be recorded using Kistler's DynoWare or compatible data acquisition software.

Measure the three orthogonal components of force, enabling the measurement of extremely small forces with high resolution and high sensitivity!
This dynamometer is equipped with four three-component force sensors installed between the top plate and the adjacent base plate under high preload. The special arrangement of the sensors minimizes the influence of temperature. Each sensor contains a quartz piezoelectric element, with one responding to force in the Y direction, and the other two responding to shear forces in the X and Z directions, respectively. The displacement caused by the load is also at a negligible level.
The signals from the four force sensors are output via a 9-pin connector, allowing for the measurement of multi-component force moments. These sensors are grounded and insulated, eliminating ground loop issues.
The dynamometer has been treated for rust prevention. Additionally, it achieves protection class IP67 when connected with cable types 1687B5 and 1677A5.
Measuring the three orthogonal components of force plus torque. Due to high rigidity and natural frequency, as well as excellent resolution, it is possible to measure even slight dynamic changes in large forces and torques!
This dynamometer features a structure that incorporates a four-component force sensor with high preload applied between the base plate and the top plate. It has high rigidity, so it hardly deforms during measurement. Care must be taken as the measurement range may narrow if the load is complex or acts eccentrically. The sensor has a grounded insulation structure, which prevents noise from ground loops.
The dynamometer is equipped with rust prevention and waterproof measures, allowing for the use of cutting fluids. When using connection cables 1687B5 and 1677A5, it meets protection class IP67.
Minimizing the impact of temperature through a special arrangement method. Achieving high-quality measurements of dynamic processes in machining and force measurement!
This dynamometer is equipped with four three-component force sensors installed between the top plate and the base plate under high preload. The special arrangement of the sensors minimizes the influence of temperature. Each sensor contains a quartz piezoelectric element, with one responding to force in the Y direction and the other two responding to shear forces in the X and Z directions, respectively. Therefore, forces are effectively measured without displacement.
The signals from the four force sensors are output via a 9-pin connector, allowing for the measurement of multi-component force moments. These sensors are grounded and insulated, eliminating ground loop issues. The dynamometer is treated for rust prevention and achieves an IP67 protection rating when connected with cable types 1687B5 and 1677A5.
Sensors for data collection that support optimal processing conditions are active in a wide range of applications!
This dynamometer is installed between the top plate and the adjacent base plate with high preload using four 3-component force sensors. The arrangement of the sensors minimizes the influence of temperature, and the displacement caused by the load is negligible.
Each sensor is equipped with piezoelectric crystals that respond to forces in three directions, and their signals are output via a 9-pin connector. This allows for the measurement of 3-component forces and moments. These sensors are grounded and insulated, eliminating the effects of ground loops.
The dynamometer is treated for rust prevention and also prevents the intrusion of cutting oil. (It achieves protection class IP67 when connected with cables 1687B or 1677A.)
Due to its high rigidity and natural frequency, as well as excellent resolution, it is possible to measure even the dynamic changes of very small forces while a large force is being applied!
This dynamometer incorporates four three-component force sensors between two plates under high preload. Each sensor contains three pairs of quartz plates, with one pair sensitive to forces in the Z direction. The other two pairs are sensitive to shear forces in the X and Y directions, respectively. During the measurement of force components, the deformation of the dynamometer is negligible.
The outputs from the four embedded force sensors are connected within the dynamometer to enable multi-component measurement of force and moment, with eight signals extracted from a 9-pin flange socket. The four sensors are grounded and insulated to prevent noise from ground loops.
The dynamometer is treated for rust prevention and sealed against cutting fluids. When connected with cable 1687B5 or 1689B5, it meets protection class IP67.
Due to its very high rigidity and natural frequency, as well as excellent resolution, it is possible to measure even the dynamic changes of very small forces while a large force is acting!
This dynamometer incorporates four three-component sensors with a large preload between the upper and lower plates. Each sensor contains three pairs of quartz plates, one of which responds to forces in the z-direction, while the remaining two respond to shear forces in the x and y directions, respectively. During the measurement of force components, there is almost no deformation of the dynamometer.
To enable the measurement of multi-component forces and moments, the outputs of the four built-in force sensors are connected internally within the dynamometer. Eight signals are output from a 9-pin flange-type socket connector. The four force sensors are incorporated in a non-grounded manner, preventing noise from ground loops.
This dynamometer is equipped with anti-corrosion and waterproof measures. By using connection cables of type 1687B5/1689B5, it can achieve a protection rating of IP67.
