We would like to inform you about the expected start date for orders of industrial computers equipped with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024, based on Windows 11. The lifecycle suitable for long-term operation, along with features that enhance reliability and security, will lead your projects to success. ● Reduction of maintenance workload for long-term operation The LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) OS can be used in the same environment for up to 10 years. Windows Update includes only critical quality updates. Since feature updates are excluded, the need for re-evaluation with each update is minimized, reducing maintenance workload. Various features not found in standard Windows, such as restrictions on user operations and OS write actions, are included. In particular, the UWF (Unified Write Filter) light filter function significantly reduces writes to the disk by redirecting OS write actions to memory. Additionally, there are very useful features that help keep the OS in a proper state, which also contributes to extending the lifespan of SSDs that have a limited number of write cycles.

Contec has developed a system device that automatically assesses the six-step handwashing process recommended by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare using AI technology, and began sales of the AI handwashing assessment system "IVA-HW100" on January 21, 2025. This product is a system device that automatically evaluates the correctness of the six-step handwashing actions through image recognition using AI technology. By accumulating learning of the inference model through demonstration experiments with food manufacturers, it assesses the correctness of each handwashing step with an accuracy of over 95% (Note 1). The adoption of NVIDIA's AI module Jetson enables advanced AI processing, and it comes standard with a dedicated camera, power cable, and self-supporting stand, allowing for immediate operation upon purchase. It features user authentication via IC cards or QR codes, and the ability to save handwashing record data, enabling monitoring records of handwashing processes in accordance with HACCP. It is equipped with FTP network communication capabilities, allowing for integration with external systems. Additionally, it can display messages in different languages, making it useful for hygiene management training for foreign employees. Note 1: This refers to the accuracy rate of our inference model using our evaluation dataset.

We are pleased to announce that Contec's industrial edge AI computer DX-M2300/U2200/U2100/U1220 series now supports "Power Failure Protection®," which enables operation without the need for shutdown during power interruptions. By applying the JetPack/L4T version provided by Contec to the compatible products of the industrial edge AI computer, you can utilize the Power Failure Protection feature. After installing your application, you can enable the Power Failure Protection function by switching the settings in the BIOS and Linux. When the Power Failure Protection function is enabled, data writing to the SSD is redirected to an overlay area in the main memory, preventing data writing to the SSD. Furthermore, by adopting SSDs with robust protection features, we safeguard the storage from sudden power outages and prevent system crashes.

"Clock Performance" can visualize the maximum sampling rate and maximum generating rate that change under various conditions. New release of the "BX-M4600 series" embedded PC featuring fanless high performance with 12th/13th generation Intel(R) Core(TM) processors.
Contec has developed a fanless, high-performance embedded computer equipped with the 12th/13th generation Intel(R) Core(TM) processors, and has started accepting orders for the "Box Computer(R) BX-M4600 series (hereinafter referred to as the new product)" from July 2, 2024. The new product features a fanless operation while incorporating the high-power CPU of the 12th/13th generation Intel Core processors, making it the top-tier high-performance model in the Box Computer(R) BX series. It is equipped with two 2.5-inch SATA disk slots in a slot-in format, allowing for the separation of the OS and data. Compared to previous models, it achieves approximately 1.9 times the processing speed*, providing an advanced edge computing environment through FA computers. It is suitable for fields that require advanced multi-processing, such as transportation, social infrastructure, medical devices, security, and amusement. * Based on a comparison of PassMark values between the previous model BX-M2500 Xeon E-2278GEL and BX-M4600 i7-13700TE.
