This is an example of analyzing impurities confirmed from a solvent when high-purity products are stored in inappropriate environments, using liquid injection GC-MS. Ethanol stored in a light-protective reagent bottle in a cool, dark place was transferred to a used plastic wash bottle and left at room temperature for about a month. As a result, impurities such as triethyl borate and alkylbenzenes were detected. Additionally, acetone stored in a light-protective reagent bottle in a cool, dark place was transferred to a transparent glass bottle without light protection and left at room temperature for about a month, resulting in the detection of diacetone alcohol as an impurity. Strain measurement of power module package resin.
We would like to present the results of strain measurements conducted by attaching strain gauges and thermometers to the surfaces of power modules, both in the mounted state on a circuit board and in the unmounted state. In the mounted module, a slight delay in temperature change was observed, and correspondingly, the change in strain also appeared to be delayed. Analysis of mica sheet adhesive components using GC/MS.
This is an introduction to the analysis of adhesive components in mica sheets using GC/MS. To investigate what components are contained in the mica sheets, spectroscopic measurements were conducted, suggesting that silicone-based adhesives are used. To determine the composition of the silicone-based adhesive, GC/MS measurements were performed. It was found that pentacyclooctasiloxane is used, and it was also discovered that dibutyl phthalate is added as a plasticizer and linear saturated hydrocarbons such as tridecane are added as lubricants.
