[Important] Notice of Price Revision
We would like to express our congratulations on the continued prosperity of your company. We are also deeply grateful for your exceptional support. Regarding the matter at hand, our company reviewed product prices in 2021; however, since then, costs such as raw materials, labor, and transportation have fluctuated. We have been striving to absorb these costs through operational efficiency and cost reduction. However, as you are aware, due to the surge in raw material prices and disruptions in transportation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the situation in Ukraine, it has become difficult to absorb the increase in procurement costs solely through the efficiency of sales activities and logistics operations. Therefore, we regret to inform you that we must revise our product prices. We kindly ask for your understanding of the circumstances. ■ Products subject to price revision: Equipment, reagents, consumables, parts, some service fees, maintenance contracts ■ Implementation date of price revision: Maintenance contracts from the renewal on January 1, 2023 Equipment, reagents, consumables, and parts from orders received on April 1, 2023 Service fees from services conducted after April 1, 2023 * For the revised service fee schedule, please contact our company.

The release of the latest model, Keltec 9, has been decided!
The Keltec series has been used worldwide for many years. This summer, the launch of the latest model, Keltec 9, has finally begun!! The Keltec series retains its characteristic patented SAfE function, which reduces the exothermic reaction of strong acids and alkalis at the start of distillation. The KT9 is also compatible with digital services, allowing measurement results to be checked from anywhere via internet connection, and comparisons with NIR device measurement results can now be done on the same PC. Since data management can be done without intermediaries, it also excels in safety! Please consider the Keltec 9 at this opportunity!

[Seminar Report] Mircoscan FT3/Baxomatic Webinar 2022 (Part 2)
In this webinar, we introduced and demonstrated the latest milk component measurement device, Milkoscan FT3, as well as the bacterial count and somatic cell count measurement device, BacSomatic. This is the second installment of the webinar series that was held in February and received positive feedback. Since its release in 2020, the Milkoscan FT3 has achieved sales of 500 units within a year due to its advanced features. Additionally, the BacSomatic is rapidly gaining popularity as an alternative method for raw milk testing in production sites and for incoming raw milk inspections at dairy factories. We feel that there is growing anticipation for both devices as next-generation solutions to address challenges faced by dairy factories, such as improving inspection efficiency, reducing labor, lowering costs associated with testing, and advancing towards smart factories. We are pleased to reintroduce the content that was well-received at last year's Milkoscan FT3 seminar, and this time we have planned a program that includes the BacSomatic as well. We hope to be of assistance as a solution that looks ahead to improvements in raw milk testing, manufacturing management, and quality inspection. Customers who wish to see actual demonstrations or have any inquiries are welcome to contact us freely.

[Official Method Compliance] - A device capable of analyzing resistant starch - FiberTech 1023 System
All dietary fibers, applicable to all enzymatic methods for soluble and insoluble dietary fibers, can also be used for sample processing for colorimetric analysis and chromatographic analysis. ■ Complies with official methods ■ Compatible with Prosky method and HPLC method ■ Simultaneous rapid filtration of 6 samples ■ Elimination of time and effort The phrase "Dietary fiber XXg" or "Let's regulate our stomach with dietary fiber" has become increasingly visible in various places due to health consciousness. Seaweeds, mushrooms, and vegetables have long been recognized as foods high in dietary fiber, but in recent years, new soluble dietary fibers, such as resistant starch, which do not affect taste or texture, have also been widely used in processed foods and beverages. Dietary fiber analysis requires simulating human digestion through physicochemical analysis, resulting in residual precipitates, which has historically given the impression that "the analysis process is complex and time-consuming." Samples must always be prepared in pairs, with one residual used for ash measurement and the other for protein measurement, making it a challenging analysis for testers. The FiberTech 1023 system is an analytical device designed to reduce these labor efforts and conduct efficient analyses. For more details, please check the product page.

[Seminar Report] Lipid and Solvent Extraction - Weight Method Corresponding Solvent Extraction Device "Soxtec" Briefing Session
FOSS Japan recently held a web seminar on the solvent extraction device "Soxtec," which corresponds to the lipid and solvent extraction - weight method. Regarding the lipid content in food labeling standards notified on March 30, 2022, some amendments have been made to the analytical methods. As a result, a provision has been added allowing the use of automated analytical devices, enabling extraction that previously took a long time to be completed in about one hour (depending on conditions). Since FOSS Japan has been selling the automated solvent extraction device Soxtec 8000, which automates the solvent extraction process, we wanted to take this opportunity to introduce the potential of FOSS's solvent extraction devices, and thus we conducted this seminar. Thank you for your participation. During the seminar, we received many questions, and we felt the strong interest from everyone. In the future, FOSS Japan will continue to provide technical information and industry-related topics that will be useful to customers requiring analysis of food and feed. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us regarding the seminar materials or the devices.
