Free Webinar [Optimal Sensor Solutions for CFRP Molding Process] Now Accepting Applications! (12/6)
The CFRP market is primarily adopted in aerospace, railway, and automotive applications, with the automotive industry experiencing an increasing demand for lightweight vehicles due to environmental issues and fuel efficiency improvements. However, compared to injection molding, the molding process is longer and manufacturing costs are higher, leading to a growing movement to quantify the conditions inside the mold. As a countermeasure, there is a rising need to improve productivity and quality by measuring the resin filling pressure and temperature within the mold cavity. Kistler proposes a "visualization solution for the inside of the mold" using high-performance quartz piezoelectric internal pressure sensors, which will be introduced in a webinar. Date and Time: December 6 (Tuesday) 10:30-11:15 Please apply using the button below [Details & Application] (which will jump to the registration form).

New Product: Engineering Monitoring System ComoScout
Kistler's new process monitoring system, ComoScout, is a lightweight solution focused on general signals from sensors other than injection molding machines or in-mold pressure sensors. It is a simple and cost-effective tool for machine-based process monitoring, usable not only with existing machines but also as a gateway to the digital world. It is also appealing to industries like packaging, which have traditionally not emphasized process monitoring based on in-mold pressure sensors. ComoScout monitors signals from injection molding machines and from sensors providing voltage outputs of up to 10V. This opens up new possibilities for manufacturers who have previously hesitated to invest in process monitoring. The process monitoring system stabilizes production processes and allows for early detection of scrap, leading to waste reduction. It enables the identification, sorting, and recycling of defective parts, avoiding secondary costs and waste. Despite its low cost, ComoScout has many of the traditional monitoring features and the same appearance as ComoNeo. It remains economically viable even when retrofitting older machines with the latest data gateways.

Announcement of a free webinar: Semiconductor resin encapsulation molding "Visualization solutions for inside the mold" and IoT technology (4/27)
In the semiconductor industry, particularly in the resin encapsulation process for power semiconductors aimed at NEVs (New Energy Vehicles), there is an increasing demand for the "visualization" of the internal conditions of molds to achieve zero defects in the manufacturing process. In this webinar, we will propose sensing technologies to improve molding defects using a quartz piezoelectric pressure sensor developed for low-viscosity resins like epoxy transfer molding and for low-pressure measurements. - Compatible with low-viscosity resins ⇒ Structure that does not cause measurement errors due to the intrusion of epoxy resin (diaphragm structure) - High-temperature compatibility ⇒ Mold temperatures up to 200°C - Linearity (measurement error) ⇒ Less than 1% relative to the measurement range - Resolution ⇒ 1/1,000 MPa This webinar will be held three times on the following dates, but the content will be the same for all sessions, so please feel free to join on a date that suits you!
