Announcement of a free webinar: Semiconductor resin encapsulation molding "Visualization solutions for the inside of molds" and IoT technology (May 11)
In the semiconductor industry, particularly in the resin encapsulation process for power semiconductors aimed at NEVs (new energy vehicles), there is a growing demand for the "visualization" of the internal conditions of molds to achieve zero defects in the manufacturing process. In this webinar, we will propose sensing technologies to improve molding defects using a quartz piezoelectric pressure sensor developed for low-viscosity resins, such as epoxy transfer molding, and for low-pressure measurements. - Low-viscosity resin compatibility ⇒ Structure that does not produce measurement errors due to epoxy resin intrusion (diaphragm structure) - High-temperature compatibility ⇒ Mold temperatures up to 200°C - Linearity (measurement error) ⇒ Less than 1% against the measurement range - Resolution ⇒ 1/1,000 MPa This webinar will be held twice on the following dates, but the content will be the same for both sessions, so please feel free to join on the date that is most convenient for you! May 11, 2022 (Wednesday) May 18, 2022 (Wednesday) Please check the details and register via the registration form. https://info.kistler.com/ja-webinar-semicon We look forward to many participants joining us.

Webinar (7/7): Pressure Measurement Useful for Inline Quality Control of Spot Welding
In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for quality control in spot welding from automobile manufacturers. Kistler has noticed that many customers perceive it as an issue that, traditionally, the electrode pressure has not been measured inline. Therefore, this time, we aim to improve quality, reduce inspection man-hours, and establish traceability through monitoring the pressure in spot welding. In a brief 30-minute session, we will introduce a sensor suitable for pressure measurement and a solution for determining and recording pressure data for all weld points. - Installation of high-sensitivity strain sensors - Management of spot welding conditions through pressure measurement - Functions of the judgment recording device maXYmos During the session, we will answer questions submitted via the QA form in real-time. Why not take this opportunity to interact with our sales engineers! Kistler supports CSEM in the development of innovative space technology testing equipment.
As part of research on magnetic bearings for attitude control of artificial satellites, two engineers from CSEM (Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology) are capturing disturbances of a reaction wheel using our dynamometer with magnetic bearings. Based on these high-precision disturbance measurement results, we have been able to evaluate a control algorithm for active control of synchronous rotational vibrations across the entire range of rotational speeds, allowing us to increase rotational speed while minimizing disturbances and power consumption.
